Live from the Sea-Watch 2: Three boats spotted – Rescue initiated

Live 2.00pm

For our crew the day started eventfully early in the morning. Shortly before 6am we spotted three boats from our crow’s nest. We safeguarded the first boat with its 140 occupants mostly coming from West Africa. Among them children and pregnant women. For further medical supply four of them have been taken on board our vessel. Sea-Watch tender 2 stayed with another 136 refugees waiting to be fetched away. While SW tender 1 supplies the second boat NGO SOS MEDITERRANEE with their Aquarius is looking after boat number three.
